Bangladesh will have representation in the commentary box at the Women’s Asia Cup, with Mazhar Uddin Omi the only Bangladeshi among the tournament’s eight-member commentary panel.

A familiar voice in Bangladesh cricket, Omi has regularly covered the BPL, domestic cricket and international series in Bangladesh.

His presence on the Asian stage has also grown in recent years. Omi was part of the commentary panel for the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament in 2025, before earning a place in this year’s Women’s Asia Cup panel.

Omi will be joined by Anwesha Ghosh, Marina Iqbal, Veda Krishnamurthy, Charvi Bhatt, Sana Mir, Farveez Maharoof and Ahmed Raja.

The Women’s Asia Cup begins in Dubai on August 28, while Bangladesh will open their campaign against Indonesia on August 31.
