Saifuddin ruled out of Asian Games cricket

Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has been ruled out of the Asian Games cricket event due to a right hamstring injury.

Saifuddin felt pain while bowling during a practice session on September 19.

A physical examination and MRI later confirmed the injury, with team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan confirmed that he will need around three weeks of rehabilitation.

"Saifuddin complained of pain in his right hamstring while bowling during the practice session on 19 September. Following a physical examination and MRI, the injury was confirmed. He will require approximately three weeks of rehabilitation to recover.” Bayjedul said.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) of his unavailability and will name a replacement, subject to approval from the Games authorities.
