Tamim reportedly met State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam on Thursday (July 30), accompanied by BCB Security Committee chairman Sayeed Ibrahim, to request government-level communication with India.
The objective was to reassure Indian authorities that Bangladesh is fully prepared to host the Indian men's team.
The report added that the BCB has asked the government to engage with its Indian counterparts, as the board is still awaiting official confirmation regarding the tour.
India are expected to visit Bangladesh for a six-match white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is in September.
Earlier this week, Tamim had said he remained hopeful the series would go ahead but acknowledged that the matter was beyond the BCB's control and would require government-level involvement.
The Bangladesh-India series was initially scheduled for 2024 but was postponed following political unrest in Bangladesh. Although it was later deferred, the tour has remained uncertain amid strained relations between the two cricket boards.
