The tournament will return to Africa for the first time in 24 years, featuring 57 matches across eight venues in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia.
Johannesburg's Wanderers Stadium, Cape Town's Newlands, Centurion and Durban's Kingsmead are among the major South African venues, while Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls will host matches in Zimbabwe. Windhoek's Namibia Cricket Ground will stage games in Namibia's first-ever senior ICC event.
The 2027 edition will feature a new three-stage format involving 14 teams.
Three lower-ranked teams will compete in a qualifying Super Series, with the winner joining 12 teams in the main round. The top seven teams will then advance to the Super 7 stage before the semi-finals and final.
Launching the tournament brand under the theme "Three Nations, One Heartbeat," ICC Chairman Jay Shah described the World Cup's return to Africa as a landmark moment for the sport.
