Bangladesh's impressive performances in the ODI series against Australia have been rewarded in the latest ICC rankings, with Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed all making significant progress in the bowlers' standings.

The biggest mover was Shoriful, who climbed 10 places to a career-best 18th position following his sensational display in the third ODI in Mirpur.

The left-arm pacer claimed 6 for 48, registering the first five-wicket haul of his ODI career as he tore through Australia's batting line-up.

Taskin, another standout performer during the series, moved up five spots to 27th, while Mustafizur jumped 12 places to 25th after his consistent contributions with the ball.

In contrast, Nahid Rana slipped four places to 28th after being rested for the final ODI of the series.

Bangladesh also celebrated progress in the batting rankings, with Towhid Hridoy rising seven places to 20th after an excellent series against the Australians.

The middle-order batter scored 154 runs in three matches, including a superb 83 in the series finale, making him the highest-ranked Bangladeshi batter in the ODI standings.

The rankings update comes after Bangladesh secured a historic 2-1 ODI series victory over Australia, their first-ever bilateral ODI series win against the world champions.
