Batting first, India posted a competitive 238 in 48.4 overs, built around solid contributions from Abhigyan Kundu and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, before Bangladesh were set a revised target of 165 from 29 overs.
After early setbacks that reduced them to 12 for 2, India recovered through a crucial partnership between Sooryavanshi and Kundu. Sooryavanshi struck a fluent 72 off 67 balls, while wicketkeeper-batter Kundu anchored the innings with a patient 80 off 112 deliveries. Late runs from Kanishk Chouhan (28) and Deepesh Devendran (11) pushed India to a strong total.
For Bangladesh, Al Fahad was the standout bowler, claiming an impressive five-wicket haul, while Azizul Hakim and Iqbal Hossain Emon picked up two wickets apiece.
Chasing the revised target, Bangladesh’s innings began poorly with the early dismissal of Zawad Abrar. Rifat Beg (37) and captain Azizul Hakim (51) steadied the chase, keeping Bangladesh in contention through the middle overs.
However, a collapse triggered by Vihaan Malhotra, who claimed four wickets for just 14 runs, derailed the chase.
Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 146 in 28.3 overs, falling 18 runs short under DLS calculations.
