The Bangladesh all-rounder left the country for Guyana on Saturday to join the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Before his departure, Miraz shared a photo from inside the aircraft on social media, expressing his excitement about the new challenge.
“On my way to the CPL for a new challenge. Ready to embrace the Caribbean journey with Guyana Amazon Warriors,” he wrote.
Miraz is set to get his first opportunity to play a match in the CPL. He was previously signed by Trinbago Knight Riders in 2017 but did not feature in a single game during the tournament.
Miraz has joined the Warriors as a replacement for Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who left the CPL to join his national team for a series against India. With several group-stage matches still remaining, Miraz could have a genuine opportunity to showcase his abilities.
The Warriors have already made an impressive start to their campaign. They defeated Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets on Saturday to maintain a perfect record of five wins from five matches.
