Blessing Muzarabani is set to skip the 2026 season of the Pakistan Super League after securing a deal in the Indian Premier League, a move that could see him replace Mustafizur Rahman at Kolkata Knight Riders.

Zimbabwe fast bowler has informed Islamabad United that he will withdraw from the PSL, although his IPL franchise has not yet been officially confirmed.

Muzarabani is widely expected to join Kolkata Knight Riders, who were instructed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in December to release Mustafizur Rahman after the Bangladesh pacer had been bought at the IPL 2026 auction for INR 9.2 crore.

The Bangladesh left-arm pacer has since joined Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming PSL, which begins on March 26, two days before the IPL.

Muzarabani had initially gone unsold in the PSL auction on February 11 but later secured a direct deal with Islamabad United after the franchise released Shamar Joseph. He previously won the PSL title with Multan Sultans.
