The BCB Grounds Committee will organise the course through two workshops in August, with a total of 70 ground staff from different parts of the country expected to take part.
The first workshop will be held at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on August 11-12, from 9am to 5pm. A total of 30 ground staff from Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Purbachal, BKSP and Fatullah will participate.
The second workshop will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on August 23-24, also from 9am to 5pm. The workshop will feature 40 participants from Mirpur, BKSP, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal, Bogura and Rajshahi.
The course will be conducted by BCB Head of Turf Management and ICC-accredited curator Tony Hemmings.
The initiative is aimed at improving the technical knowledge and practical skills of local ground staff while helping Bangladesh maintain its cricket venues to higher domestic and international standards.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a BCB Level-1 certificate.
