The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has strongly denied claims circulating on social media that its President, Aminul Islam Bulbul, is under investigation by the Board’s Integrity Unit.

In an official press release issued on Friday, the BCB termed the allegations as “entirely false, unfounded and fabricated.”

The Board categorically states that these claims are entirely unfounded, false and fabricated. Alex Marshall has personally refuted the allegation and confirmed in writing that no such inquiry exists, stating that “the BCB President being under investigation by me. This is a completely untrue and fabricated allegation.”

The BCB expressed serious concern over the spread of what it described as deliberate misinformation aimed at damaging the reputation of the Board and its President. According to the release, the Board has already initiated legal action against those responsible for spreading the false narrative.

A General Diary (GD No. 3867) was filed on January 30, 2026, at Mirpur Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, targeting the social media platforms and individuals involved.
