Bangladesh cricket is facing one of its most turbulent periods in recent history, missing out on the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time has sent shockwaves through the cricketing community.

The situation has worsened further with the resignation of two Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) directors within just 48 hours, deepening concerns over instability at the top level.

At such a critical moment, strong leadership was expected from BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul. However, late Sunday night, he left the country for Australia. This information was confirmed in a report published by The Daily Sun.

Earlier on Sunday evening, Bulbul publicly denied the reports, creating a dramatic situation. He told the media that he was still in the country and was busy with cricket-related work. Despite this firm denial, he eventually departed the country later that night.

Putting an end to all speculation, the BCB president left Dhaka for Australia late on Sunday. It has been learned that he will be spending time with his family there.

Rumours had begun circulating from Sunday evening that Bulbul might leave for Australia that very night. As various media outlets reported on the issue, the BCB president was compelled to clarify his position.

At the time, he strongly claimed that he was occupied with BCB duties and had no immediate plans to travel abroad. Although this statement appeared to calm the situation, his departure just a few hours later has created significant confusion and raised fresh questions.
