Zimbabwe faced a significant setback in their T20 World Cup aspirations after a surprising defeat to Uganda. However, they bounced back strongly in a crucial match against Rwanda to keep their chances alive.

Captain Sikandar Raza played a pivotal role in this turnaround, leading from the front. Opening the batting, he played a spectacular innings, scoring 58 runs off 36 balls, including six fours and four sixes.

His partner, Tadiwanashe Marumani, also contributed with a quick 50 off 31 balls, featuring three fours and three sixes. Late contributions from Ryan Burl (44* off 21) and Luke Jongwe (17* off 4) in the death overs propelled Zimbabwe to a total of 215/4.

Zimbabwe's bowlers put up a spirited performance, preventing Rwanda's chase from gaining momentum. Early damage was done by Richard Ngrava (3/11) and Blessing Muzarabani (1/10), while Ryan Burl (2/7) made a significant impact on the middle order.

Raza, once again, played a crucial role by finishing off the tail with a stylish hat-trick in the 19th over, ending with figures of 3/3.

Despite the impressive victory, Zimbabwe finds themselves with only four points on the table, relying on other match results to favorably impact their chances of qualification.
