Bangladesh started on a positive note as they scored 41-0 at stumps on day three chasing 513 runs by India in the ongoing first Test match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.


Openers Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan were unbeaten on 25 and 17 runs respectively at the close of the day. 


India declared their innings on 258-2d just after Cheteswar Pujara completed his century, setting a 513-run target for Bangladesh.

Captain KL Rahul was eagerly waiting for Pujara to complete his hundred so that he can declare their innings, then Pujara struck a boundary off Taijul to finish on 102 runs.

Earlier, Bangladesh crumbled down on 150 runs in their first innings, resuming on 133-8, Bangladesh could only add 17 runs to their overnight score.


Kuldeep Yadav picked up third five-wicket haul on his return to Test format, he castled overnight batter Ebadot Hossain to complete the feat.


Mehidy Hasan Miraz also departed early on 25 runs when he skipped down the track but missed the ball completely, offering Rishabh Pant an easy stumping off Axer Patel.
