Stokes to miss South Africa T20s, Hundred to manage workload

England Test captain Ben Stokes is set to miss the upcoming three-match T20I series against South Africa and the Hundred to manage his workload and fitness.


The 31-year-old has been rested for the T20I series against South Africa to manage the workload and fitness but will feature in the ODI series against South Africa.

Stokes struggled with a knee problem during England's tour of West Indies in March and missed the part of the County Championship season with Durham.


He took a break from cricket last year, missing the T20 World Cup to prioritise his mental wellbeing and recover from a finger injury.


England and South Africa are set to play a three-match ODI series, which will be played from July 19 to July 24. Also, they will play a three-match T20I series, which will be played from July 27 to July 31.
