Bangladesh ‘A’ wrapped up their Australia tour in frustration, as the presence of several experienced players failed to reflect in their performances.
In the only four-day fixture, the visitors suffered an innings and 12-run defeat to Sheffield Shield champions South Australia.

The result was confirmed on the third day of the match in Darwin, with Bangladesh ‘A’ bowled out for 254 in their second innings after collapsing to just 114 in the first.
Shahadat Hossain was the only bright spot in the second innings. Having remained unbeaten on 42 overnight, he managed to add just seven more runs before falling for 49.
His partner Yasir Ali (36) also could not stay long at the crease. Despite their experience, both failed to shoulder the responsibility of building a resilient innings.
Skipper Mahidul Islam Ankon and all-rounder Nayeem Hasan then attempted to steady the innings but could not capitalize after settling in. Nayeem fell for 25 while Ankon made 32.
The lower order provided little resistance, with Ripon Mondol and Enamul Haque both departing without scoring. Towards the end, left-arm spinner Hasan Murad staged some resistance, putting together a 48-run stand with Hasan Mahmud for the last wicket.
Their fight raised hopes of avoiding an innings defeat, but Murad’s dismissal for 42 sealed Bangladesh ‘A’s fate.
This four-day loss capped off a tour of underwhelming performances. Earlier, in the Top End T20 tournament, Bangladesh ‘A’ managed only a ninth-place finish out of 11 teams, despite featuring several players with international experience.
