India opener Shubman Gill is unwell and reportedly suffering from dengue which is a huge concern ahead of their World Cup opener against Australia.
According to the reports, the opener who is currently down with dengue is in close monitoring by the BCCI medical team. With another round of tests scheduled for October 6, Friday.
A call is expected to be taken on Gill after the test, but currently, it seems like the star batter will miss the opening match against Australia on Sunday in Chennai.

Gill scored 1,230 runs at an average of 72.35 and a strike rate of just above 105 in just 20 matches this year. He has scored five centuries and five fifties this year, with the best of 208.

In the absence of Gill, wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan is likely to open with Rohit Sharma.
Kishan has been excelling currently in the middle-order for India, with his crucial 82 off 81 balls against Pakistan during the Asia Cup coming to the rescue of the Indian side.
