Afghanistan U-19 rule opening day of lone four-day match against Bangladesh

Afghanistan U-19 have scored 40 runs losing two wickets at stumps after the opening day of the lone four-day match against Bangladesh U-19 at the Sylhet International Stadium.
Afghan’s still trailing by 122 runs as opener Bilal Sayedi remained unbeaten on 11 runs and skipper Ijaz Ahmed on 8 runs at the close of the day.
In reply to Bangladesh’s 162, Afghans failed to start well as opener Suliman Sufi was run out for 4 runs. Then skipper Ishaq Zazai’s early wicket for 17 runs put the side in further peril.

While batting first Bangladesh managed to put only 162 runs losing all wickets, although the openers Pranitik Nowrose Nabil (20) and Iftikher Hossain (37) got off to a decent start, amassed 46 runs for the opening partnership.
The highest scorer of the innings Aich Mollah scored 39 runs off 95 deliveries. Bangladesh lost wicket at regular intervals, following the wicket of SM Meherob (28) on 145-5, the host lost the remaining five wickets within 17 runs.
Afghan bowler Bilal Sami took five wickets for the team while Izharulhaq Naveed picked up four wickets for the side.
