Australia and Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Pat Cummins decided not to take part in the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Board of Control for Cricket in India have decided to resume the 14th edition of the IPL in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a report in Sydney Morning Herald, Cummins has made it clear that he would not be taking part in the remaining matches of the IPL, however, there is no reason given behind his decision.

"David Warner and Pat Cummins could be rested from the West Indies tour because of family reasons - others could follow after a draining year in several bubbles - and Cummins, despite a multimillion-dollar IPL contract, has already said he will not return to the T20 tournament this season," he said.

After playing India at home, Australia plans to travel Bangladesh for a five-match T20I series, while England has two away series against Pakistan and Bangladesh. The BCCI will also have to keep a watch on the CPL schedule (which runs from August 28 to September 19), since several West Indian players may be forced to skip the IPL.
England Cricket Board director Ashley Giles said that their players would not be allowed to participate in IPL during their resting period from the bio-bubble. Australian players’ participation also remains unclear due to their busy international schedule.
The IPL's 14th season, which has been suspended, is expected to take place in the UAE between September 15 and October 15, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) considering a 25-day window for the cash-rich tournament.
