Speaking at a press conference in Sylhet, Litton said: “Bangladesh have lost to many teams before this is nothing new. Even if we lose here, that’s part of the game. Two teams are competing: one will win, the other will lose. What matters is how well we are playing cricket.”

The skipper also pointed out that the conditions in Sylhet will be useful preparation for Abu Dhabi, where the Asia Cup will take place.

“The conditions here are almost similar to what we can expect in Abu Dhabi. We’ve been practicing for a few days and already played a match here. Our players now understand what the conditions might be like there, and we’ll try to use that to our advantage to produce results.”

Bangladesh have also made fresh inclusions in the squad, with Nurul Hasan Sohan and Saif Hassan returning to the fold. Litton expressed his satisfaction with their inclusion:

“I’m very happy to have Sohan and Saif in the team. They’ve been performing consistently for several years. In T20 cricket, anyone can get out while trying to play aggressively. But it’s up to the team management to assess how a player is approaching the game. If we see that he’s ready to give everything for the team, management will definitely back him.”
