Originally, Bangladesh were scheduled to play only two T20Is in the UAE before heading to Pakistan for a five-match T20I series.
However, due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding that tour—largely influenced by regional tensions between India and Pakistan—the BCB has opted to stretch their UAE stay by requesting a third T20I.

The extra match will also make it logistically easier for the Bangladesh team to travel directly to Pakistan from the UAE should the tour go ahead.
