Shakib’s CT hopes fade as he remains suspended from bowling

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remains suspended from bowling in competitions governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed in a statement.
The decision follows an independent re-assessment conducted last month at the Sri Ramachandra Centre for Sports Science in Chennai, India.

The suspension also extends to international cricket, as the initial assessment at Loughborough University in the UK had previously deemed his bowling action non-compliant with regulations. Until Shakib successfully undergoes a re-assessment and clears the requirements, the suspension will remain in effect.
Despite being barred from bowling, Shakib is eligible to participate in all formats of domestic and international cricket as a batsman.

The BCB emphasized that a successful re-evaluation is necessary for the bowling ban to be lifted, and they are working closely with the player to address the issue.
