The Bangladeshi crowd's backing impressed Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman, who hit unbeaten 57 against Bangladesh in the second T20I today [Saturday] as Fakhar was adjudged player of the match.
Bangladesh defending the low total of 108, they only managed to dismiss two Pakistan batters captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Fakhar complimented the home audience for their enthusiastic support throughout his match-winning performance.
“It was overwhelming to see Bangladeshi people showing so much love to us. It feels like home here and we are very happy,” he said.
Speaking about the team’s performance, Fakhar gave credit to the skipper Babar Azam. “He [Babar] is leading the team from the front. He is setting high standards in all three departments which every player is trying to meet,” he said.
“Babar’s individual performance is also good which is a moral booster for every player in the team,” he added.
