Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal said on Sunday his much-anticipated comeback to cricket completely depends on his disease report which he expected to receive within the next seven to 10 days.

Tamim returned to the country from the United Kingdom (UK) yesterday after taking his medication from a London-based gastroenterologist.

While the bulk of Bangladesh national team’s renowned cricketers are expected to join the second phase of the players’ fitness training after the Eid vacation, an uncertainty of Tamim Iqbal’s much-awaiting return to practice has been developed.

Tamim himself confirmed the matter. His comeback to cricket before playing the mainstream cricket entirely depends on his medical report as the hard-hitting opener told country’s most popular web portal Cricfrenzy.com.

“I have done many tests in London. They have taken a long time to perform the tests. It will take another 8 to 10 days for all the tests’ reports to come,” Tamim Iqbal said.

“The doctor said, I can return to the country if I want without waiting for so long. After receiving the report, if they think that the medicine will cure them, they will since give me online advice. If I need something like surgery, I have to go to London again,” Tamim told Cricfrenzy.

“I tried to get a little idea from the doctor about the type of disease. They did not want to say anything without seeing all the reports. For now, there is no way but to wait,” he added.

The left-handed opening batsman also said that he has not decided yet to join the second phase of the ongoing practicing session. But he will only return to the cricket field when the doctors advise him to return to the field.

Noteworthy, Tamim left Dhaka for London on July 25 to see a gastroenterologist in the Harley Street of London for the treatment of his severe stomach pain.
