Bangladesh veteran Mahmudullah Riyad became the fourth Bangladesh batter to surpass the 5,000 ODI runs milestone at the third and final match against New Zealand at Mirpur on Tuesday.
Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahim are the three other Batter for Bangladesh to have accomplished the milestone before Mahmudullah.
The right-handed batter reached the milestone in the 16th over by taking a single off Lockie Ferguson.
After reaching the milestone Mahmudullah became Adam Milne’s prey as he got out for 21 runs.
In the second ODI, Mahmudullah made 49 runs, which has likely to open the door for his World Cup opportunity.
