Karthik: It'll be a disappointment if Bangladesh don't reach semi-final of 2023 WC

India wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik believes Bangladesh has a rare chance to play the semi-final in the upcoming 50-over World Cup 2023 in India.
The veteran wicket-keeper heaped praises on the Tigers for their recent performance and the consecutive ODI series win against India in 2015 and 2022.
Karthik feels that it will be disappointing if Bangladesh does not reach the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023 in India.
“I can say this much, as the Asian team will play the World Cup in the Asian field, it will be disappointing for them not to be able to play the semi-finals. Especially, the way they have been playing recently in this format, they should do very well in the next World Cup,” Karthik told Cricbuzz.
“Time will reveal all the answers. But according to the conditions, they had intent in batting. The bowling has been very sharp. When they play away in front of opposition, the test will be even bigger. These answers will be known only then,” he added.
Bangladesh made an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match ODI series. The third and final match will be held on December 10.
