Bangladesh team returned to international cricket amid the pandemic with the West Indies series in January 2021.  The Tigers played some fiery cricket against giants like Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan throughout the year.

Despite the injuries and obstacles, Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal was able to find himself among the top five scorers in the ODI format, and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman was placed in T20I for the most wickets.

Cricket’s comeback brought relief among the cricket fraternity and spectators, there were several exciting moments as the world witnessed some terrific cricket throughout the year with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup held in the UAE and Oman.
