Ireland Wolves to leave Bangladesh early due to tour itinerary change

Ireland Wolves is set to leave early amid of a full series against Bangladesh Emerging team due to tour itinerary change. The cricket boards of the two countries decided on the change Saturday.

According to the new schedule, Ireland Wolves will leave Bangladesh before playing a less T20 match of a two match T20 series. The Irish were scheduled to leave Bangladesh on March 19, instead they will leave on March 17. This has been confirmed by Richard Holdsworth, High Performance Director of Cricket Ireland.

The last T20 match of the series was scheduled to be played on March 16 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Earlier, in a lone four-day match, Ireland Wolves lost by an innings and 23 runs against Bangladesh Emerging Team.

The first match of the three-match ODI series was abandoned when one of the Irish cricketer tested corona positive. Ireland Wolves lost by 4 wickets in the second match, 6 wickets in the third and fourth match.

The last ODI of the series will be played on Sunday (March 14) at SBNS in Mirpur.
