Saif once again COVID-19 positive

Bangladesh top-order batsman Saif Hassan yet another tested positive for coronavirus. Saif himself confirmed it through a status on his verified facebook page today.

Seeking duas for him and his family, the uprising batsman gave a big status informing his frustration and anguish about the ongoing mayhem of the newly-emerged dangerous virus across the world.  

“Assalamu Alaikum all. I pray everyone is staying safe and healthy insha’Allah. As many of you may already be aware that I was tested positive for COVID-19 last week and I had my second test done today but unfortunately the results came back positive,” Saif Hassan said.

“This past week all I’ve done is tell myself that I’m okay when it’s been blatantly obvious that I’m not. 3 days into isolation I lost my sense of smell and taste and am still recovering. To put it quite simply, friends, I’m annoyed. I’m wildly frustrated by everything the COVID-19 outbreak has taken from us all,” Hassan said further.

“But we don’t give up. We’re all we have. No matter how difficult it gets, we push forward. Insha’Allah with time, it will get better and the world will be a better place. I pray you all stay safe and wish you all the best of health in the coming days, weeks and months. Please keep me and my family in your duas,” he added.   

In the wake of the corona-like symptoms among some officials, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) abruptly organized a corona test for the players, officials and coaching staff last a week back from where player Saif Hassan and trainer Neek Lee among all were tested positive for COVID-19.    

The BCB tested him once again on Tuesday and the result comes out as positive after which his name has been trimmed from the Sri Lanka-bound Bangladesh Team. Trainer Lee came back to the team after being tested negative.

A player can write his name after being tested negative for coronavirus in the last two tests which will be held within the seven days before their departure for the Test series though the series in Sri Lanka is in tether.

The BCB are reluctant to travel to Sri Lanka under the condition of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). The SLC gave a 14-day quarantine along with some others that are really impossible to fill up under the current consequence of the world. Both the cricket boards are continuing their discussions to iron out the differences.
