Former Bangladesh captain and national selection committee member Kazi Habibul Bashar was appointed as the new head of BCB Women’s Wing.
The tenure of the previous selection panel comprising Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Bashar and Abdur Razzak officially ended on December 31, 2023.

The BCB decided not to extend the contract with Nannu and Basahar or the respective roles and appointed Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu as the chief selector.

Bashar who has been part of the selection panel since 2016 will lead the Women’s team.
Earlier, BCB boss Nazmul Hasan Papon affirmed that both Nannu and Bashar would be appointed to prestigious positions on the board. The specific position for Nannu on the board is still unknown.
