England’s fast-bowler Stuart Broad said that his partner James Anderson is still addicted to cricket at the age of 40 and only growing better with age.
Broad also said that the prolific England pair are preparing for their expected key roles in their ninth Ashes campaign, starting on June 16.
"Jimmy's incredibly competitive. That's his number one strength. He's probably the most competitive person I've seen bar Jos Buttler in any sport that he plays," Broad, who was speaking in a new 10-part original podcast series from Global – Legends of The Ashes – launching on Thursday June 15.

“But he's very driven. He's an addict to cricket, to be honest. He's an addict to training, an addict to getting better, improving all the time,” said Broad.

"That's showing now, he's 40 and he's probably bowling better now than he was four years ago. It's an incredible testament to himself and the game" he added.
Anderson is England's leading Test wicket-taker with 685 and became the oldest player to top the ICC Test rankings earlier this year.
