Naimur helps Bangladesh U-19 down Afghans in second ODI

Bangladesh U-19 won the second of the five-match ODI series by 3 wickets against Afghanistan U-19 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.
Left-arm spinner Naimur Rahman scalped four wickets for just 14 runs which propelled the side to win and lead the series 2-0.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh openers Mofijul Islam and Prantik Nowrose Nabil got off to a great start as they amassed 37 runs. Although Nabil returned for 24 runs. Mofizul scored 31 runs before returning to the dressing room putting 57 for 2 on the board.

Then, spinners Shahidullah Hasani picked up three and Izharullah Naveed’ four wickets put Bangladesh on peril as they lost 5 wickets in 25 runs.
However, Aich Mollah’s unbeaten 16 buoyed the Tigers to a hard-fought win over the visitors with three wickets and 26.5 overs to spare.
Tigers bundled up young Afghans for 101 runs losing all wickets in 42.3 overs. Opener Sabawoon Banoori scored the highest score of 25 runs for Afghanistan U-19s. While Ishaq Zazai (12), Allah Noor (12) Ijaz Ahmed (10) played brief innings.
All-rounder Kamran Hotak tried to rescue the side as he faced 76 balls to score 18 runs.
Naimur bagged four wickets, pacer Golam Kibria took a couple of wickets while Ripon Mondol and skipper SM Mehrob took one wicket each for the hosts.
