England all-rounder Moeen Ali has been recalled to the England Men’s Test squad for the second Test against India at Lord’s which gets underway from Thursday.

According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, Moeen, the off-spinning all-rounder, is expected to join up the England squad for training.

"Moeen is certainly under consideration. He's always been part of our consideration. So that's something that Joe and I are going to chat about at Lord's," said Silverwood.

"We know he is a fine cricketer and we know he is showing fine form in the Hundred at the moment, though I appreciate it's a different format," he added.

In 61 Tests so far, he has bagged 189 wickets at 36.24. He also has five Test hundreds to his name, with his latest coming in December 2016.
