Kane Williamson is the latest international player to withdraw from the Hundred, opting out of his £80,000 (US$110,000) deal with Birmingham Phoenix while he recovers from an elbow ailment.
Williamson, New Zealand's captain, has been dealing with the ailment for the past six months, missing an ODI series against Bangladesh, the start of the Indian Premier League, and the second Test against England.

Following the World Test Championship final, he remains in the United Kingdom and is anticipated to advise the Edgbaston-based team.
Finn Allen, his compatriot, has been lined up by Phoenix as a replacement and will stay in the UK following his stint in the Vitality Blast with Lancashire.
Meanwhile, Pakistan star Shaheen Shah Afridi has also withdrawn from his Phoenix contract because to international commitments with Pakistan, who would be touring the Caribbean from July 21 to August 21 during the Hundred's window.
Adam Zampa, their third men's overseas player, is anticipated to withdraw due to his participation in Australia's limited-overs tours to the Caribbean and Bangladesh.
