Bangladesh spinner Nazmul Islam Apu said that the decision to his bowling action in order to practice Carom ball was tougher one for him.
According to him, this decision made an adverse impact on his performance but believes it would pay dividends.
His performance was poor in Bangladesh Premier League(BPL) and Dhaka Premier League (DPL). He took just nine wickets in 11 matches with an economy 0f 8.94 in the last edition of BPL. He has talked with Cricfrenzy regarding his bowling.

“I thought if I can be successful on a big occasion like BPL then I will be able to dominate at the international level too. I bowled according to that plan. At first, I didn't do well. I worked on that in BPL and in the premier league,” Nazmul Islam told Cricfrenzy.
“Of course, it was tough. Because I knew, I can do badly too. I knew if I do well it would be great and if I do bad then i could be out of the World Cup squad. Nevertheless, I wanted to do it. If I could master it then I could have given a better performance. I didn’t master it fully, some time was needed. I took some risk,” Nazmul Islam added.
Nazmul Islam has played one Test, five ODI's and 13 T20 matches in his international career. In those matches, he took one Test wicket, five ODI wickets, and eight T20 wickets. He played his last match in international cricket back in November 2018. He is out of international cricket since then because of a string of poor performances.
But in the gap, he honed the art of Carom ball to make him more competitive.
