Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is on the verge of a new milestone as he needs just two more wickets to claim 100 wickets as captain.
Four other cricketers—Pakistan’s Imran Khan and Wasim Akram, Shaun Pollock of South Africa and Jason Holder of West Indies—had already achieved the feat as captain.

Mashrafe was elected as ODI captain of Bangladesh in 2010 before injury sidelined him from the team and also he lost the captaincy before got it back in 2014 again.
Since then he played 83 matches as captain of the Bangladesh team and in those matches and picked up 98 wickets. The Year 2016-2017 was the most successful year for Mashrafe as a bowler as he snapped up 21 wickets from 12 matches. Mashrafe is also the most successful captain of Bangladesh cricket with a winning percentage of 58.02
Mashrafe’s career has gone through several ups and downs over the years. He went through seven knee operations in his career but he came back stronger every time. But, Mashrafe’s current World Cup form is not up to his standard still. He played six matches so far and picked up just one wicket.
Mashrafe’s Bangladesh will play India on Tuesday at Edgbaston in a ‘do or die’ match. The match will start at 3.30 Pm (BD Time).
