Bangladesh goes down to 8th position from 7th in the ICC Men’s ODI rankings

As per the recent ICC ODI ranking, Bangladesh went down to the 8th position of the ICC Men’s ODI ranking after dropping one place.
West Indies leapfrogged Bangladesh to 7th place, much to the frustration of the Tigers fans.
Recent World Cup performances are taken into account in this new ranking. Bangladesh won just one match against South Africa in this World Cup, they lost two matches against New Zealand and England, and their last match against Sri Lanka was a washed-out game due to consistent downpour.
Bangladesh lost one rating point and now they have 85 points under their belt. West Indies have taken over Bangladesh on the number 7th position with 86 points, they are just a point ahead of Bangladesh.
