However, Amid escalating tensions in the region following missile and drone exchanges between the two nations, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to halt the tournament.
With security concerns mounting and multiple players expressing reluctance to continue under the current circumstances, the PSL's continuation became untenable.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) moved swiftly to ensure the safe return of its players. Thanks to the board’s special efforts, both Rishad and Nahid are scheduled to arrive back in Bangladesh tomorrow.

The BCB has been in constant contact with the players and two Bangladeshi journalists throughout the crisis, prioritizing their safety above all.
While the PCB had initially considered shifting the rest of the PSL to the UAE, logistical challenges and growing concerns from international players and staff forced the league’s postponement.
