The Bangladesh women crashed out of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup after suffering a 17-run defeat at the hands of their New Zealand counterparts at the Junction Oval in Melbourne today.
The Bangladesh women bowled brilliantly in the first half of the innings after bundling out New Zealand for merely 91 runs, the second-lowest total at T20 World Cups -- in 18.2 overs.
RH Priest was the highest scorer for the black caps. She scored 25 runs.

Ritu Moni was the most impressive bowler with the ball, she took 4 wickets for the tigresses. Captain Salma Khatun also took 3 wickets for seven runs in 2.2overs.
Chasing a reasonable score of 92 runs to win Bangladesh women lost wicket at regular intervals. They failed to rotate the strike and find boundaries. However, Nigar Sultana, who was forced to retire hurt after a blow to the face, hit a brave 26-ball 21 but it could not help the Tigresses get over the line. A flurry of wickets at the death saw the Tigresses being bundled out for 74 in 19.5 overs.
