ACC conducts second raid on BCB within a month

ACC officials brief the media in Mirpur, Cricfrenzy
For the second time in a month, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a raid at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), this time investigating alleged irregularities in the third division team selection, constitutional loopholes, and financial misconduct.

The ACC team visited the BCB headquarters in Mirpur on Saturday, led by Assistant Director Raju Ahmed.

Raju told the media they reviewed documents and spoke with officials regarding specific complaints about irregularities in the third division selection process and flaws in BCB's constitution, including the absence of proper employment policies.

This raid was separate from the previous one on April 15, which focused on BPL ticket sales and similar selection issues. Raju clarified that the current investigation is being carried out by a different team.

The ACC is also looking into recent allegations against BCB President Faruque Ahmed, who is accused of transferring board funds between banks without following proper procedures.
