Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun put up a spirited effort with the bat, but their contributions weren't enough to prevent Bangladesh's women's cricket team from falling to a 21-run defeat against India, resulting in a 5-0 series sweep for the visitors at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Ritu Moni scored a 33-ball 37, while Shorifa Khatun remained unbeaten on 28 from 21 balls. Despite their efforts, Bangladesh could only manage 135 for 6 in their 20 overs, falling short of India's total.

India's bowlers were instrumental in the victory, with left-arm spinner Radha Yadav taking three wickets and leg-spinner Asha Sobhana adding two more.

India's innings was boosted by key contributions from Dayalan Hemalatha (37), Smriti Mandhana (33), and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (30). Richa Ghosh's unbeaten 28 off 17 balls provided the late acceleration, helping India post a formidable total of 156 for 5.

Bangladesh's bowlers Nahida Akter and Rabeya Khatun claimed two wickets each, but their efforts couldn't prevent India's batters from piling on runs.

This defeat marks Bangladesh's ninth straight loss in Women's T20Is, underscoring the challenges the team faces in their journey towards consistent performance.
