Abahani Limited registered a commanding 42-run win over Prime Bank Cricket Club in the Super League of Dhaka Premier League at the Khan Osman Ali Stadium in Narayanganj.

Prime Bank's batting line-up struggled against the bowling attack of Abahani, especially Khusdil Shah, who was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped six wickets. Despite Zakir Hasan's 51 and Prantik Nowrose Nabil's 57, Prime Bank were restricted to 243-10 in 45.4 overs.

Veteran Alok Kapali's 40 and Shak Mahadi's 26 were not enough to help Prime Bank chase down the target.

Earlier, Prime Bank won the toss and invited Abahani to bat first. Abahani started well with openers Anamul Haque and Mohammad Naim scoring 31 and 26 runs respectively.

However, it was Afif Hossain's quick-fire century that set the tone for the innings. He smashed 111 off just 11 deliveries, while Mosaddek Hossain added 67 runs from 76 balls. Thanks to their efforts, Abahani set a challenging target of 286 runs.

Shak Mahadi and Kashif Bhaat took two wickets each and Rejaur Rahman got one.

Abahani's strong performance with the bat and ball helped them secure a comfortable victory over Prime Bank. With this win, Abahani consolidated their position at the top of the Super League table.
