Joy named in Bangladesh ODI squad against Afghanistan

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
Seven players from the Tigers' 16-player ODI series against Zimbabwe in July last year, have lost their places, while five others have been called up for the first time or have made a comeback.

Pacer Ebadot Hossain, left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed and top-order Mahmudul Hasan Joy are in the ODI squad for the first time, while Najmul Hossain Shanto made a comeback alongside uncapped all-rounder Yasir Ali Rabbi.

Naeem Sheikh, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Mithun, Nurul Hassan Sohan, Taijul Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, and Rubel Hossain are among those who have been left out from the Zimbabwe series.
The ODIs, which are part of the ICC World Cup Super League, will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
