Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the remainder of the tour in Zimbabwe for family reasons. Mushfiqur will leave Harare later today [Wednesday] and travel to Dhaka.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter by a press release. He will miss Bangladesh's three ODIs against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on 16, 18 and 20 July and also the three-match T20 international series that starts at the same venue on 23 July.

BCB requests that all respect the privacy of Mushfiqur and his family at this time.

Earlier, Mushfiq ahead of the tour had decided to not play the T20I series looking for a break. The wicket-keeper batsman had kept him available for selection for the Test and ODI matches for the tour.

But yesterday [Tuesday], Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim had opted to be part of the three-match T20I series against hosts.

The change in mind by the veteran cricketer had been driven by the fact that it would be difficult for him to join the national squad for the Australia series.

Bangladesh had a good start to the month-long tour winning the lone Test match by 220 runs at Harare Sports Club and now the focus is to maintain the winning run in the upcoming white-ball formats.
