Bangladesh to face India in the opening match of the Road Safety Series

The first edition of the Road Safety World Series started in March, last year however the tournament was postponed halfway due to the corona pandemic. The Road Safety World Series is going to resume after overcoming the epidemic. The tournament will have teams including India Legends, South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legendsand, West Indies Legends, England Legends and Bangladesh Legends.
Bangladesh Legends is set to play in the place of Australia Legends, who have withdrawn the event due to Covid-19-related travel restrictions. The tournament will start on March 5 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Bangladesh Legends will take on India Legends in the opening match of the event.
The schedule of the tournament was released on February 24. After the group stage of the tournament, the top four teams will play in the semi-finals slated to be played on March 17 and 19, followed by the final on March 21.
The main objective behind the tournament is to make the masses aware of the importance of road safety in India. Veteran Sachin Tendulkar named as the brand ambassador of Road Safety World series.
