Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo said on Thursday that he is yet to receive any instruction from BCB top brass to inform them about the team combination for the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.

Domingo made this announcement despite Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan declared publicly that team management must inform him about the playing XI along with the batting order and other cricketing decision as well.

 “Guys remember I come from South Africa. A lot of trouble goes in there. It is not like I am coming from England or Australia where its easy where you do what you want to. I come from South Africa. It is tough there as well. Selection is not easy,’’ Domingo told reporters at the post match press conference when his attention was drawn about the bizarre desire of BCB boss Nazmul.

‘’There’s people with a lot of opinions and agendas. It is part of my job, and I have to deal with it. Make the most of it. Important thing for me, is that I keep the players and the captains away from it. I have to be the in-between guy. It is a big role but I have done it before in South Africa.

Domingo insisted he has ‘not been officially ordered’ to share team strategies with BCB president Nazmul Hasan despite the president told media that he told them [team management] that they have to give me the batting sequence and cannot drop a player in one game and then pick him again while he added that he understand that team management want to try a few boys.

‘’Our coach, who is relatively new, wants to see the fast bowlers. But whatever happens, they have to let me know in advance," Nazmul had told the media on Wednesday.

“My dealings with president [Nazmul], is very passionate about the team. He wants the team to do really well. I haven’t spoken to him as yet. I have had some good practice sessions in the last week,” said Domingo when asked whether he is informed anything by the BCB top-brass.
