Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) instead of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Prioritizing his career development, the board has granted him permission to feature in the entire Big Bash season, a BCB source confirmed to Cricfrenzy.

In the previous BBL draft, Rishad was picked by the Hobart Hurricanes. However, due to national team commitments on the West Indies tour and the BPL, he could not join the franchise last season.

The defending champions have once again placed their faith in the young leg-spinner for the upcoming campaign.

Since the BBL schedule overlaps with the BPL, there had been uncertainty about whether Rishad could play the full season. That doubt has now been cleared.

A BCB source told Cricfrenzy, “Rishad has been given an NOC for the full season. Playing in the Big Bash will help his career progress more than playing in the BPL, so we’ve allowed him to participate in the entire tournament.”

Rishad, who has already impressed in the national side, also shone in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Lahore Qalandars earlier this year.
