India set a 229 runs target to level the three match ODI series. Bangladesh were bowled out for just 129 runs in 35.1 overs with a target of 229 runs.
The hosts lost the last 7 wickets for only 14 runs.
This is India's biggest ODI win against Bangladesh women's team in terms of runs. With this record-breaking win, they tied the three-match series at 1-1.
Jemimah Rodriguez contributed with bat and ball in India's big victory. She took 4 wickets for just 3 runs after playing a career-best 86-run innings as she was adjudged player of the match.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty decided to bowl first as an early wicket was taken by in-form pacer Marufa Akter in the fifth over when she clean bowled opener Priya Punia (seven) with an excellent in-swing delivery.
Early on, the Indian batters were under constant pressure from the Bangladesh bowlers who kept the run rate in check over the first 20 overs.
Smriti Mandhana, an experienced batter, was dismissed in the 22nd over after reaching 36, and Bangladesh was in command with the score at 3/68.
However, India's captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah put together a key 73-run stand for the fourth wicket that completely changed the game.
Sultana Khatun and Nahida Akter took two wickets each.
In reply, Bangladesh also lost early three wickets within the first 15 overs.
Fargana Haque Pinky and Ritu Moni attempted to resurrect the chase with a 68-run partnership for the fourth wicket, but batting collapse was brought on by the dismissals of Pinky (47) and Ritu (27) in the 29th and 30th overs, respectively.
After 28.5 overs, Bangladesh had 106 for three, from that point, they were all out for 120 in 35.1 overs, losing the final seven wickets for 14 runs in 6.2 overs.
Series deciding match is next Saturday at the same ground.
