Bumrah will be out of action till World Cup at home

Jasprit Bumrah underwent back surgery in Christchurch, and according to news reports from New Zealand, both the procedure and the cricket player are doing well.
The BCCI's medical staff has created a timeline for his recovery that calls for him to start training and bowling again by August. After that, his workload will gradually increase with the goal of getting him fully fit for the World Cup.
Since withdrawing from the home white-ball series against South Africa in late September of last year due to a stress reaction in his lower back, Bumrah has not played in any cricket matches.
He tried to make a comeback in January of this year for the domestic series against Sri Lanka, but that didn't work out because of back aches.
The latest update ruled him out of the 2023 edition of the IPL and the World Test Championship final at The Oval from June 7 (if India qualify).
The Indian team management as well as the NCA want Bumrah to return only when he is absolutely fit to perform at his peak, with captain Rohit Sharma also warning India against rushing him back into action.
