Batter Shamim Hossain has been added to the Bangladesh squad for Friday’s second ODI of the three-match series at the SBNCS, Mirpur.
The 22-year-old left-hander, who has featured in 10 T20 internationals for Bangladesh, is yet to make his ODI debut.
Shamim, a member of the Under-19 World Cup winning team, had a colorful debut. He gave a great message with the bat in the debut series in Zimbabwe but this all-rounder was dropped after playing 10 matches.

He played his last T20 against Pakistan in November last year. However, after a short period of time, Shamim, who came from Chandpur, returned to the national team. He scored 175 runs in 12 matches in BPL but had several eye-catching innings.
England lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first game by three wickets.
The second ODI of the series will be played on Friday. Then on March 4, two teams will go to Chattogram. The last ODI match of the series will be held on March 6 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
After the ODI series, the two teams will also face each other in the three-match T20I series.
