Gill breaks Kohli's record for highest T20I score

Shubman Gill broke Virat Kohli’s record of the highest individual score by an Indian batter in T20Is in the third and final T20I against New Zealand.


The right-handed batter accomplished the feat scoring an unbeaten 126 off 63 balls with 12 fours and seven sixes.

India posted a massive score of 234 for the loss of four wickets after opting to bat first. Gill got to his half-century off 35 balls after that he got to his hundred off 54 balls and became the sixth Indian man to score a T20I hundred.


Earlier, Kohli set the record by scoring an unbeaten 122 against Mohammad Nabi’s Afghanistan in the Asia Cup match back in September 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
